Evans Valley Community Resource Center Capital Campaign

Evans Valley Community Resource Center

An ADA-accessible hub for health, safety, and community resilience

The Evans Valley Community Resource Center is a community-led effort to expand the existing Evans Valley Fire District #6 station into a fully ADA-accessible gathering place that strengthens health, safety, and connection for Evans Valley and surrounding rural communities before, during, and after emergencies.

      Why This Matters

  • Evans Valley lacks a fully ADA-accessible public meeting space. Seniors, people with disabilities, and rural families face barriers to services and support.
  • During emergencies such as wildfire, extreme heat, smoke, or severe weather, the current facility cannot adequately support coordination or recovery.
  • The Evans Valley Community Resource Center addresses these gaps by building onto the existing fire station footprint.

      What We Are Building

A 4,136 square foot expansion of the existing Evans Valley Fire District #6 station that includes:

  • Flexible community meeting and training space
  • Fully ADA-accessible entrances and restrooms
  • Space for healthcare and social service partners
  • Emergency coordination and recovery functions

This approach strengthens an existing public safety facility while minimizing new land use.

  • Space for community-based health and wellness programs
  • Reduced access barriers for rural residents
  • A central place for education, preparedness, and connection
