Cynthia was born and raised in Portland. She was a molecular biologist with a career in biotech in the Bay area for many years. But she always wanted to get back to Oregon, so she bought a farm in Wimer in 2003; soon after, her last company was bought, and her division closed, so she took a year off, met her husband Marty… and they’ve lived here since 2006. She’s always been an avid horseman, and she and Marty enjoy haying the farm, gardening, and having many animals, including rescues. She’s always admired firemen and all the volunteers.
